Awesome EOTC!

Hello readers!

Today I will be tellng you about my school's EOTC week. EOTC week stands for Education Outside The Classroom. It is where we have 5 days of fun activities out of school.  Only year 5 and 6 students get to attend. We only get EOTC week at the end of the last term of the school year. We bused to each destination. My teacher Whaea Miki put on some music with some speakers. This year are EOTC week activities where: Adrenalin Forest, Mega Air, Phat Sk8 (roller skating), The Amazing Race and surfing at Sumner Beach.  

At Adrenalin Forest  is where you put on a safety belt that clicks onto the ropes. There is heaps of cool things like ziplines, spiders webs, tunnels and so mush more! I loved it and recommend it. 

At Mega Air  there are fun things like trampolines, a foam pit, things to jump off and even a toddler area. I loved it and recommend it!

At Phat Sk8 (roller skating) we walked to the end of Selwyn Sports Centre and put on are helmets and roller skats. It was a bit hard at first but I oved it and rrecommend it. 

In the amazing race we where spilt into teams. Each team had a team leader. My team leader was my step-mum Chrissy. We had to solve the clues to find the end of the race. The race started at the Botanical Gardens and ended at Margaret mahy Playground. I loved it.

Surfing at Sumner Beach was my favourite! My school got us surf teachers and everything! I learnt that the deeper you go, the better waves you find. I even stood up on my board TWICE! Standing up on the board is NOT as easy as it looks. I LOVED it and recommend it.

August 25, 2021. I think that the ducky will stay.

No one knows why the unknown person put the ducky there. But I think they wanted to pull a prank on the city and bring some ‘joy.’
