Kia ora readers!
Today we made a slideshow about how to be resilient. I spent most of the time putting in gifs, but I think it looks good.
Here is mine :)
I am a Year 6 ākonga/student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. My kaiko/teacher is Whaea Miki. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful, and helpful when you leave me a comment.

In room 9 we have been reading the book holes. It was a reasonably short book and we finished it's reasonably quickly. So then we had to make a book review about it.
Here is my book review.

Hello, Caitlin here with another blog post.
Today I will be showing you my descriptive writing. We had to write about a picture. We had to choose between a treehouse or a space ship. I did the treehouse from a ligers point of view. Here is a picture of the liger.
Here is the story!
My name is Emma, I am a liger and I am in the woods looking for the golden lion. I scan the woods. I see a dusty old tree house. I climb up the treehouse and look around. There is nothing in the treehouse except for a broken old dusty desk in the corner. The leaves around me dance the moonlight as I scan the treehouse. I can feel my soft liger paws on damp wood. I can hear a roaring waterfall. I can smell something rotten. I take a deep breath and the cold and bitter air sweeps into my lungs. The tree house is old and creaky. I look down and there is blood all over the place! I can hear the crunch of leaves on the floor. The tree is covered in moss and poison ivy. I can hear singing birds and the flutter of their wings. The creaking of the treehouse makes me feel anxious. It is midnight and the howling of a wolf turns me to full guard. The bang of an axe makes me think that someone is cutting down the tree I’m in. The smell of fire, smoke, and ash fills my nose. I can also smell something unpleasant and moldy. The damp moss on the hard wood wets my paws. I bite my tongue and blood bursts into my mouth. I lick some water off the leaves and the salty water fills my mouth. The cold droplets of water drip onto my fluffy body.
